Author's biography:
- Born on May 22, 1907, in Etterbeek, Georges Rémi created numerous illustrations for scout magazines in his youth under the name Hergé.
- On January 10, 1929, he introduced the reporter Tintin in the pages of Le Petit Vingtième, a youth supplement of a Belgian Catholic daily.
- His hero quickly became the most iconic character in French-language comics.
- Curious about everything that defined his era, Hergé collected its mythical and historical images and symbols.
- Through his art of drawing and storytelling expertise, he elevated European comics to a noble status.
