Author's biography:

Born on May 22, 1907, in Etterbeek, Georges Rémi created numerous illustrations for scout magazines in his youth under the name Hergé.
On January 10, 1929, he introduced the reporter Tintin in the pages of Le Petit Vingtième, a youth supplement of a Belgian Catholic daily.
His hero quickly became the most iconic character in French-language comics.
Curious about everything that defined his era, Hergé collected its mythical and historical images and symbols.
Through his art of drawing and storytelling expertise, he elevated European comics to a noble status.
He died on March 3, 1983, in Woluwe-Saint-Lambert. © Hergé-Moulinsart
